Instructions
- Prepare your ingredients: Measure your sugar and syrup in bowls for easy access.
- Mix and heat: In a saucepan, combine sugar and corn syrup. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until the sugar dissolves completely.
- Flavor it up: Remove the pot from heat. Stir in your chosen flavoring and food color.
- Cool down: Allow the mixture to cool slightly, keeping it warm enough to flex.
- Knead the gum: Dust your countertop with powdered sugar and pour the mixture out. Begin kneading, adding more powdered sugar as needed.
- Color and shape: Pull off small pieces to shape them or keep in one chunk.
- Store properly: Wrap each piece in parchment paper or store in an airtight container.

Monitor the heat carefully to avoid overcooking. Use enough powdered sugar during kneading to prevent stickiness.
