Ingredients
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled
- 1 teaspoon matcha powder
- 2 ounces hot water (about 175°F)
- 1 cup milk (dairy or plant-based)
- Sweetener to taste (honey, agave, or sugar)
- Ice (if making an iced version)
Instructions
- Wash and hull the strawberries, then purée in a blender until smooth.
- Add matcha powder into a bowl and pour in the hot water. Whisk until fully dissolved and frothy.
- In a glass, layer two tablespoons of strawberry puree, then pour in the milk, leaving room for the matcha.
- Gently pour the whisked matcha over the milk and strawberry mixture.
- Mix in sweetener as desired to adjust the taste.
- Serve immediately hot, or over ice for a refreshing iced version.
Notes
Sift matcha powder to avoid lumps and experiment with different sweeteners for the best taste.
