- 2 cups granulated sugar

Instructions
- Prepare your workspace: Lightly grease a marble slab or a baking sheet.
- Combine ingredients: In a heavy-bottomed saucepan, mix molasses, sugar, butter, and salt over medium heat.
- Boil: Once the mixture begins to boil, stop stirring and let it bubble until it reaches 240°F.
- Cool slightly: Remove from heat and let it cool for about 5 minutes.
- Pull the taffy: Butter your hands and start pulling the taffy until it feels elastic and glossy.
- Shape and wrap: Form into ropes, cut into pieces, and wrap each in wax paper.
Notes
Keep your hands greased to prevent sticking. The more you pull, the lighter the texture.
