  • 4 tbsp butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare the base: Heat a large pot over medium heat. Sauté chopped onions, carrots, and celery in olive oil until they start to soften.
  2. Cook the chicken: Add your chicken pieces to the pot, browning them on all sides. Pour in chicken broth, ensuring everything is submerged. Season with salt, pepper, and herbs.
  3. Simmer for flavor: Allow the chicken to cook through for about 20-30 minutes, until fork-tender. Remove the chicken and shred it, returning it to the pot.
  4. Make the dumpling dough: In a separate bowl, mix flour, baking powder, a touch of salt, and milk until well combined.
  5. Add the dumplings: Drop spoonfuls of the dumpling dough into the simmering broth. Cover and cook for 15 minutes.
  6. Prepare the biscuits: Mix the biscuit ingredients together, form into rounds, and place on a baking sheet to bake.
