Ingredients
- 1 lb fresh raw shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 lb salmon fillets, skin on
- 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
- Fresh parsley or cilantro, for garnish
Instructions
- Prepare the ingredients: Rinse the shrimp and pat them dry. Cut the salmon into bite-sized pieces and season both with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Cook the seafood: In a large skillet over medium heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter. Add shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes per side until pink, then set aside. In the same skillet, add the salmon and cook until golden, about 5-6 minutes.
- Make the garlic cream sauce: Lower heat, add another tablespoon of butter, and sauté garlic until fragrant, about 30 seconds. Pour in heavy cream, and simmer until slightly thickened. Add lemon juice and adjust seasoning.
- Combine everything: Return the shrimp and salmon to the skillet, coating in the creamy garlic sauce. Simmer for a couple more minutes.
- Garnish and serve: Finish with freshly chopped herbs and serve over rice or with crusty bread.
Notes
Ensure to not overcrowd the pan when cooking the seafood for optimal browning. Prepare all ingredients ahead of time for a stress-free cooking experience.
