Ingredients
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup chocolate chips (semi-sweet or dark)
- 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Prepare the crust by combining the graham cracker crumbs and melted butter, then press into a greased 9×9 inch baking pan and bake for 8-10 minutes.
- Make the filling by beating the cream cheese and sugar until smooth, then adding eggs one at a time while mixing gently.
- Stir in vanilla extract and a pinch of salt.
- Add the chocolate chips and fold gently into the mixture.
- Combine the filling over the crust and spread evenly.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes until the edges are set but the center has a slight jiggle.
- Cool the bars in the pan for about an hour, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours.
- Cut and serve chilled, optionally dusting with powdered sugar.
Notes
Make sure ingredients are at room temperature for a smoother mixture. Don’t skip the chilling time for better texture.
