Ingredients
- 1 box vanilla cake mix
- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1 cup jello (strawberry, raspberry, or lime)
- 1 cup whipped topping
- Pastel sprinkles
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Prepare a 9×13-inch baking pan by lightly greasing it.
- Mix the cake mix, eggs, water, and oil in a large bowl. Beat until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread it evenly.
- Bake according to package instructions until a toothpick inserted comes out clean, about 30-35 minutes.
- Allow the cake to cool completely in the pan.
- Poke holes all over the cooled cake using the handle of a wooden spoon.
- Prepare the jello according to package instructions and pour it over the poked cake.
- Chill the cake in the refrigerator for at least two hours.
- Spread the whipped topping over the cake and decorate with pastel sprinkles.
- Slice into squares and enjoy!
Notes
For a lighter option, consider using reduced-sugar jello or less sweetened whipped cream.
