Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup brewed coffee
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream together the unsalted butter and both sugars until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Sift in the flour and salt, alternating with the brewed coffee.
  5. Cook heavy cream, brown sugar, and salt in a saucepan until it caramelizes.
  6. Pour half of the cake batter into a greased baking dish, swirl in half of the caramel, then add the remaining batter.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes until a toothpick comes out mostly clean.
  8. Cool before slicing and serving.

Notes

Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for extra indulgence.
