Ingredients
- 1 pound fresh mushrooms (button or cremini)
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- Fresh parsley or chives, chopped
- Sea salt and cracked black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Prepare the mushrooms: Clean gently with a damp cloth, remove stems, and slice if large.
- Sauté the garlic: Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat, add garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes.
- Cook the mushrooms: Add mushrooms, sauté until tender and golden, about 5-7 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
- Add cheese: Reduce heat, sprinkle cheese over mushrooms and stir until melted.
- Garnish and serve: Toss in chopped herbs and serve warm.
Notes
Serve with crusty bread for dipping. Feel free to add herbs or red pepper flakes for an extra kick!
