- 1 cup fresh strawberries
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Melt the butter in a saucepan over low heat, then let it cool slightly.
- Mix together the melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until combined.
- Incorporate the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla.
- Combine the flour, cocoa powder, and salt in another bowl, then gradually add to the wet mixture, stirring just until combined.
- Add the chocolate chips and gently fold them in.
- Pour the batter into a greased 8×8-inch baking dish and smooth it out evenly.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs. Let cool completely.
- Prepare the strawberries by washing and slicing them.
- Make the chocolate glaze by melting chocolate with heavy cream until smooth, then drizzle over the sliced strawberries.
- Chill the brownies in the refrigerator for at least one hour to let the glaze set.
- Slice into squares and serve with a garnish of fresh mint if desired.
Notes
For a dairy-free option, substitute butter with coconut oil. Be careful not to overmix the batter for a light texture.
