A delightful twist on classic sugar cookies, infused with vibrant jello powder for color and flavor, perfect for family gatherings and celebrations.

  • Total Time: 25 minutes
  • Yield: 24 servings

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 3.4 oz package of jello powder (any flavor)
  • Optional: Sprinkles or colored icing for decoration

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy, about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.
  4. Mix the flour, baking soda, and jello powder in a separate bowl. Gradually combine with the wet ingredients.
  5. Scoop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each cookie.
  6. Bake for 8-10 minutes until lightly golden on the edges but soft in the center.
  7. Cool on the baking sheet before transferring to a wire rack. Decorate as desired.

Notes

Chill the dough for 30 minutes before baking for better shaping and to prevent spreading. They freeze well — layer between parchment paper in an airtight container.
