Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 3.4 oz package of jello powder (any flavor)
- Optional: Sprinkles or colored icing for decoration
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy, about 3-4 minutes.
- Add the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.
- Mix the flour, baking soda, and jello powder in a separate bowl. Gradually combine with the wet ingredients.
- Scoop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each cookie.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes until lightly golden on the edges but soft in the center.
- Cool on the baking sheet before transferring to a wire rack. Decorate as desired.
Notes
Chill the dough for 30 minutes before baking for better shaping and to prevent spreading. They freeze well — layer between parchment paper in an airtight container.
