Ingredients

  • 2 3/4 cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 cup unsalted Butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup Brown Sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 1 large Egg
  • 2 teaspoons Cinnamon
  • 2 teaspoons Vanilla Extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 cup Cream Cheese, softened
  • 1 cup Powdered Sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare your baking sheets.
  2. Cream the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until fluffy, about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until incorporated.
  4. Mix the dry ingredients in a separate bowl, then combine with the wet mixture to form a dough.
  5. Chill the dough in the refrigerator for 30 minutes if desired.
  6. Shape cookie dough into balls, roll them in granulated sugar, and place them on the baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are lightly golden.
  8. Frost cooled cookies with cream cheese frosting, mixing cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla.
  9. Serve warm or at room temperature.

Notes

For a lighter version, you can replace cream cheese with Greek yogurt in the frosting.
