- 2 3/4 cups All-Purpose Flour
- 1 cup unsalted Butter, softened
- 1/2 cup Brown Sugar, packed
- 1/2 cup Granulated Sugar
- 1 teaspoon Baking Powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Baking Soda
- 1 large Egg
- 2 teaspoons Cinnamon
- 2 teaspoons Vanilla Extract
- 1/4 teaspoon Salt
- 1/2 cup Cream Cheese, softened
- 1 cup Powdered Sugar
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare your baking sheets.
- Cream the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until fluffy, about 3-4 minutes.
- Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until incorporated.
- Mix the dry ingredients in a separate bowl, then combine with the wet mixture to form a dough.
- Chill the dough in the refrigerator for 30 minutes if desired.
- Shape cookie dough into balls, roll them in granulated sugar, and place them on the baking sheet.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are lightly golden.
- Frost cooled cookies with cream cheese frosting, mixing cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla.
- Serve warm or at room temperature.
Notes
For a lighter version, you can replace cream cheese with Greek yogurt in the frosting.
