- 1 can chickpeas, drained and rinsed
- 1/2 cup smooth peanut butter
- 1/4 cup tahini
- 1 clove fresh garlic
- 2 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 tsp cumin or paprika (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare chickpeas: If using canned chickpeas, drain and rinse under cold water.
- Blend ingredients: In a food processor, combine chickpeas, peanut butter, tahini, garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, salt, and pepper. Add a splash of water as needed.
- Taste and adjust: Blend until creamy, scraping down sides as needed. Adjust seasoning to preference.
- Serve and enjoy: Transfer to a serving bowl, drizzle with olive oil, and add spices or herbs if desired.
Notes
Let the hummus chill in the fridge for at least 30 minutes to enhance flavors. Adjust garlic and spices based on preference.
