A vibrant and flavorful salsa made with fresh ingredients, perfect for dipping or as a topping for various dishes.

  • Total Time: 15 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

  • 4 ripe tomatoes, diced
  • 1/2 red onion, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 1 lime, juiced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 jalapeño, seeded and chopped
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Wash and dice your tomatoes. Remove the seeds for a smoother salsa if desired.
  2. Add diced tomatoes to a mixing bowl.
  3. Finely chop your onion and garlic, then add to the tomatoes.
  4. Stir in chopped jalapeño and cilantro.
  5. Squeeze half a lime over the mixture, then add a generous pinch of salt.
  6. Taste and adjust lime and salt to preference.
  7. Let the salsa sit for at least 30 minutes to marry the flavors.
  8. Serve with tortilla chips or as a topping for tacos, grilled chicken, or fish.

Notes

Fresh ingredients are key for the best flavor. Letting the salsa rest enhances taste.
