Ingredients

  • 3 large yellow onions, sliced

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened

  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 tbsp butter

Instructions

  1. Sauté the onions: Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add sliced onions and cook for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and caramelized.
  2. Add garlic: Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute until fragrant.
  3. Combine the cheeses: In a bowl, mix cream cheese and sour cream until smooth. Stir in shredded cheddar, followed by the caramelized onions and garlic mixture.
  4. Add herbs: Gently stir in fresh herbs and season with salt and pepper.
