Ingredients
- 1 cup Fresh Strawberries, hulled and chopped
- 1/2 cup Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
- 1/2 cup Unsalted Butter
- 1 cup Granulated Sugar
- 1/2 cup Brown Sugar
- 1 cup All-Purpose Flour
- 2 large Eggs
- 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 1/4 tsp Salt
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Prepare an 8×8 inch baking pan by greasing or lining it with parchment paper.
- Melt the butter in a medium saucepan over low heat, then stir in the cocoa powder until combined.
- Add the granulated and brown sugars, stirring until dissolved.
- Whisk in the eggs one at a time and then the vanilla extract.
- Combine the flour and salt in a separate bowl, then gradually fold it into the wet mixture until just combined.
- Fold in the strawberries gently.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth it out.
- Bake for 25 to 30 minutes until the edges look set.
- Cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack and cutting into squares.
Notes
For a fun variation, add nuts or use applesauce to replace some butter for a healthier option.
