Ingredients

  • 3 cups tart apples, peeled and cored
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch round cake pan.
  2. Cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, until fully incorporated.
  4. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. Whisk together the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt in a separate bowl.
