Ingredients
- 6 cups rice cereal
- 1 cup creamy or crunchy peanut butter
- 1 cup butterscotch chips
- 1 cup semi-sweet or milk chocolate chips
- 1 cup corn syrup
- 1/2 cup butter
Instructions
- Prepare the dish: Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish with butter or line it with parchment paper.
- Melt the mixture: In a large pot over medium heat, combine the corn syrup and sugar. Stir until dissolved and let it gently boil. Remove from heat and mix in the peanut butter.
- Combine with rice cereal: Pour in the rice cereal and stir until fully coated.
- Add butterscotch chips: Press the mixture into the prepared baking dish.
- Melt the chocolate: In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the chocolate chips in 30-second increments, stirring until smooth. Pour over the pressed mixture.
- Set and cut: Allow to cool then cut into squares or bars.
- Enjoy and share: Serve to friends and family.
Notes
For variations, try using almond or sunflower butter and different types of chocolate.
