Ingredients
- 1 lb boneless chicken (breast or thighs)
- 1 cup heavy cream or half-and-half
- 1/2 cup pepperoncini, chopped
- 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- Fresh parsley or oregano, for garnish
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Prepare the ingredients: Dice the chicken, mince the garlic, and chop the pepperoncini.
- Sauté the chicken: Heat butter in a large skillet, add chicken, season with salt and pepper, and sauté until golden brown, about 6-8 minutes.
- Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
- Create the sauce: In the same skillet, add more butter, sauté garlic until fragrant, then pour in the chicken broth.
- Add the cream and pepperoncini, simmer gently and whisk to combine.
- Combine the sautéed chicken back into the skillet, let simmer for an additional 5-7 minutes.
- Final touch: Sprinkle fresh herbs over the dish before serving.
- Serve warm over rice, pasta, or with crusty bread.
Notes
For extra flavor, add red pepper flakes or jalapeños for some spice. Adjust seasoning to taste.
