Ingredients
- 1 pound ground chicken
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon coriander
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley or mint, chopped
- 1 cup plain yogurt
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
Instructions
- Prepare the Kofta Mixture: In a large bowl, combine ground chicken, minced garlic, spices, and chopped herbs. Mix until just combined.
- Shape the Kofta: Wet your hands and form the mixture into oval or round-shaped meatballs, about 2 inches wide.
- Cook the Kofta: Heat a skillet over medium heat, add olive oil, and cook the kofta for about 5-6 minutes on each side until golden-brown and fully cooked.
- Make the Garlic Yogurt Sauce: Mix yogurt, minced garlic, lemon juice, and salt in a bowl. Adjust seasoning as needed.
- Serve: Plate kofta with garlic yogurt sauce and fresh herbs. Enjoy with pita bread or salad.
Notes
For a leaner option, ground turkey can be used. Greek yogurt can enhance the creaminess of the sauce. Avoid overcrowding the pan while cooking to ensure a nice sear.
