- 1 lb ground beef or steak slices
- 8 oz mushrooms, diced (Portobello or cremini)
- 1 medium yellow onion, diced
- 1 green bell pepper, diced
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 4 oz provolone cheese, shredded
- 4 oz cheddar cheese, shredded
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil or butter
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Sauté the onions in olive oil until translucent, about 5 minutes, then add the bell peppers and mushrooms until soft.
- Cook the ground beef in the same skillet, browning and crumbling it, incorporating garlic, salt, and pepper for flavor.
- Mix in the cream cheese until melted and well-combined.
- Assemble the mixture in a greased 9×13-inch baking dish, layering with provolone and cheddar cheese on top.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
- Serve and enjoy, garnishing with fresh herbs or sliced green onions.
