Ingredients
- 200g digestive biscuits (or graham crackers)
- 100g unsalted butter, melted
- 1 can (397g) sweetened condensed milk
- 3 ripe bananas, sliced
- 300ml heavy whipped cream
- Chocolate shavings (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the crust: Crush the digestive biscuits and mix with melted butter. Press into a 9-inch pie dish and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
- Make the toffee: Simmer the sweetened condensed milk in a saucepan for 30-40 minutes until thickened and caramel-colored, then cool slightly.
- Layer the pie: Spread the toffee over the crust and add a layer of sliced bananas on top.
- Whip the cream: Whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form, then spread it over the banana layer.
- Finishing touches: Grate chocolate over the top, or drizzle with caramel if desired.
- Chill and serve: Refrigerate for at least an hour, then slice and enjoy!
Notes
For best results, use ripe bananas and ensure the biscuit base is firmly packed.
