Ingredients
- Store-bought or homemade pizza dough
- High-protein pepperoni (turkey or chicken recommended)
- Mozzarella cheese
- Basil (fresh or dried)
- Oregano (fresh or dried)
- Garlic (fresh or dried)
- Optional add-ins: sautéed mushrooms, bell peppers, baby spinach
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Roll out your pizza dough on a floured surface to a thickness of about 1/4 inch.
- Layer your pepperoni, cheese, and any additional seasonings over the dough, leaving a small border at the edges.
- Carefully roll the dough, tucking in the sides to prevent the filling from escaping. Seal the edges by pinching them together.
- Cut the rolled dough into segments, about 2 inches wide, and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
- Brush the tops with olive oil and sprinkle extra herbs for a lovely finish.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 15 to 20 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
- Allow the rolls to cool slightly before serving.
Notes
For a crunchy finish, brush with melted butter and garlic powder before baking. Avoid overstuffing the rolls to ensure proper baking.
