Ingredients
- 1 lb boneless chicken (breast or thighs)
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tbsp honey or brown sugar
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp freshly grated ginger
- 1-2 tbsp chili sauce or crushed red pepper flakes
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 cup bell peppers, chopped
- 1 cup snap peas
- 2 green onions, sliced for garnish
Instructions
- Begin by cutting chicken into bite-sized pieces and marinating them in soy sauce, garlic, and ginger for at least 15 minutes.
- Heat a tablespoon of sesame oil in a skillet over medium-high heat, add marinated chicken, and sauté until golden brown, about 8-10 minutes.
- Remove the chicken and set it aside. In the same skillet, add chopped bell peppers and snap peas, sautéing for about 3-5 minutes.
- Return the chicken to the pan, drizzle with honey or brown sugar, and add chili sauce, tossing to coat.
- Serve hot, garnished with sliced green onions and an extra drizzle of sesame oil.
Notes
Adjust the levels of heat and sweetness according to your taste. Substitute chicken with tofu or shrimp if desired.
