Ingredients
- Bok Choy
- Fresh Ginger
- Garlic
- Oil of choice (like sesame or olive oil)
- Soy Sauce or Tamari
- Optional vegetables (bell peppers, carrots, snap peas)
- Protein (tofu, chicken, or shrimp)
Instructions
- Prepare Your Ingredients: Wash and chop your bok choy, slice the ginger, and mince the garlic. If you are using protein, cut it into bite-sized pieces.
- Heat Your Oil: In a large skillet or wok, heat a tablespoon of oil over medium-high heat.
- Cook the Aromatics: Once the oil is hot, add the minced garlic and ginger. Sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant, ensuring not to burn them.
- Add Bok Choy and Other Veggies: Toss in your chopped bok choy and any additional vegetables you wish to include. Stir-fry for about 2-3 minutes until the greens are bright and tender yet still maintain their crunch.
- Add Soy Sauce: Pour in the soy sauce (or tamari) and toss everything well, ensuring all the veggies are coated. Cook for another minute or two.
- Serve: Remove from heat and serve your stir-fry hot, on its own or over rice or noodles. Optionally, sprinkle sesame seeds or fresh herbs on top for added flavor and texture.
Notes
For a little extra zest, try adding a squeeze of fresh lime juice right before serving. Avoid overcrowding the pan to prevent steaming.
