Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 12 oz egg noodles
- 1 cup sour cream
- 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 cup beef broth
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cook the noodles: In a large pot, boil salted water and cook your egg noodles according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Sauté the meat and vegetables: In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat—drain excess fat if necessary. Add chopped onions, garlic, and sliced mushrooms, sautéing until the vegetables soften and the beef is cooked through.
- Mix the ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the cooked noodles, beef mixture, sour cream, beef broth, and half of the cheddar cheese. Stir until well combined.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish. Top with the remaining cheddar cheese. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 25-30 minutes or until bubbly and golden on top.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh herbs for a delightful finish.
