Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 8 oz cremini or shiitake mushrooms, sliced
- 4 tbsp butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 tbsp fresh thyme, chopped
- 1/2 cup dry white wine
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tsp paprika
Instructions
- Prep the chicken by seasoning with salt and pepper on both sides.
- Sauté the chicken in a large skillet over medium heat with butter for about 7 minutes on each side until cooked through.
- Remove the chicken from the skillet and let it rest.
- Add more butter if necessary, then sauté garlic and mushrooms in the same skillet until browned.
- Deglaze the pan with white wine, scraping up any flavorful bits.
- Pour in heavy cream, stirring well, and let it simmer for about 5 minutes.
- Return the chicken to the skillet, soaking it in the sauce for a few minutes.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and thyme before serving.
