- 1 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda

- 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cream the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the egg and vanilla extract; mix until combined.
- Combine the flour, baking soda, and salt in another bowl; gradually add to the wet ingredients.
- Stir in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
- Scoop dough onto a lined baking sheet, leaving space for spreading.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden.
- Cool for 5 minutes on the pan, then transfer to a wire rack.
