Ingredients
- 3 Ripe Bananas
- 1 package Vanilla Pudding Mix
- 2 cups Whole Milk
- 1 cup Whipped Cream
- 1 Graham Cracker Crust
Instructions
- Prepare the Crust: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). If using a graham cracker crust, combine crushed crackers with melted butter, press into a pie dish, and bake until golden (about 8-10 minutes). Allow to cool completely.
- Make the Pudding: In a mixing bowl, whisk together the vanilla pudding mix and milk until thickened. Stir in half of the sliced bananas gently to coat.
- Assemble the Pie: Layer the crust with the banana-pudding mixture. Add a second layer of sliced bananas on top.
- Whip the Cream: In another bowl, whip heavy cream until soft peaks form. Add a touch of powdered sugar for sweetness, if desired. Spread the whipped cream over the bananas.
- Chill and Serve: Cover the pie and refrigerate for at least two hours, allowing all flavors to meld beautifully. Garnish with a sprinkling of crushed graham crackers or chocolate shavings before serving.
Notes
Use perfectly ripe bananas for the best flavor. Allow the pie to chill adequately before serving to ensure a nice set.
