Ingredients
- 1 ripe pineapple, peeled and sliced
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1/4 cup dark rum
- Pinch of cinnamon or nutmeg (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the pineapple by cutting it into thick slices or wedges.
- Heat a skillet and melt the butter over medium heat.
- Add the brown sugar and stir until it dissolves.
- Fry the pineapple pieces in the skillet for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Pour in the dark rum and let it cook for another 2-3 minutes.
- Remove from heat and sprinkle with cinnamon or nutmeg before serving.
- Serve warm, optionally with vanilla or whipped cream.
Notes
For a variation, you can use canned pineapple or substitute other fruits like mango or peaches.
