Ingredients
- 4 cod fillets
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 lemon, juiced
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Pat the cod fillets dry with paper towels.
- In a small saucepan, melt the butter over low heat and add minced garlic, simmer until fragrant.
- Season the cod with salt and pepper, place in a baking dish, and drizzle with half of the garlic butter and lemon juice.
- Bake for 12 to 15 minutes until flaky.
- Add lemon slices for garnish during the last minute of baking, then drizzle remaining garlic butter and sprinkle parsley before serving.
- Serve immediately with your favorite sides.
Notes
Ensure fillets are at room temperature for even cooking. Don’t overcrowd the baking dish.
