A simple yet elegant dish of cod fillets baked with a luscious blend of garlic butter and bright lemon juice, perfect for family dinners or entertaining.

Ingredients

  • 4 cod fillets
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 lemon, juiced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Pat the cod fillets dry with paper towels.
  3. In a small saucepan, melt the butter over low heat and add minced garlic, simmer until fragrant.
  4. Season the cod with salt and pepper, place in a baking dish, and drizzle with half of the garlic butter and lemon juice.
  5. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes until flaky.
  6. Add lemon slices for garnish during the last minute of baking, then drizzle remaining garlic butter and sprinkle parsley before serving.
  7. Serve immediately with your favorite sides.

Notes

Ensure fillets are at room temperature for even cooking. Don’t overcrowd the baking dish.
