Deliciously crispy and creamy Jalapeno Popper Twists make a perfect snack or appetizer, combining the flavors of jalapenos, cream cheese, and flaky pastry.

Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 2-3 fresh jalapeños, minced
  • 1/2 cup cooked and crumbled bacon (optional)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix together the cream cheese, cheddar, minced jalapeños, bacon, garlic powder, and onion powder until smooth.
  3. Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface until thin.
  4. Cut the pastry into squares about 3 inches by 3 inches.
  5. Fill the center of each square with a tablespoon of filling, then fold the corners to the center to create a pocket.
  6. Twist the pocket to form the twist shape.
  7. Brush the tops with the beaten egg for a golden finish.
  8. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Serve warm with a dipping sauce of your choice.

Notes
