Ingredients
- 1 sheet puff pastry
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 2-3 fresh jalapeños, minced
- 1/2 cup cooked and crumbled bacon (optional)
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a bowl, mix together the cream cheese, cheddar, minced jalapeños, bacon, garlic powder, and onion powder until smooth.
- Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface until thin.
- Cut the pastry into squares about 3 inches by 3 inches.
- Fill the center of each square with a tablespoon of filling, then fold the corners to the center to create a pocket.
- Twist the pocket to form the twist shape.
- Brush the tops with the beaten egg for a golden finish.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
- Serve warm with a dipping sauce of your choice.
Notes
These twists are best enjoyed fresh out of the oven. Experiment with different cheeses or peppers for variation.
