Ingredients
- 2 salmon fillets (skin-on)
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce
- 2 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Fresh herbs (dill or parsley) for garnish
- Sliced green onions for garnish
Instructions
- Prepare the Marinade: In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, and grated ginger until smooth.
- Marinate the Salmon: Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish or resealable plastic bag. Pour the marinade over the salmon, ensuring each piece is well coated. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.
- Heat the Skillet: In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add olive oil and allow it to heat until shimmering.
- Sear the Salmon: Place the marinated salmon fillets skin-side down into the skillet. Cook for about 5-6 minutes without moving them.
- Glaze and Finish: Gently flip the fillets over and brush some of the remaining marinade on top. Reduce the heat to medium-low and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes.
- Serve: Remove the salmon from the skillet once cooked to your liking. Allow it to rest for a couple of minutes before serving.
