Ingredients
- 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar

Instructions
- Prepare the strawberries: Hull and finely chop 1 cup of fresh strawberries, optionally tossing them with a teaspoon of sugar.
- Cream the butter and sugar: In a mixing bowl, cream together 1 cup of softened butter and 1 cup of sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs and vanilla: Mix in two eggs one at a time, then add 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract.
- Combine dry ingredients: In another bowl, whisk together 2 ½ cups of flour and 1 teaspoon of baking powder, then gradually add to the butter mixture.
- Fold in the strawberries: Gently incorporate the chopped strawberries into the dough.
- Chill the dough: Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
- Preheat the oven: Preheat to 350°F (175°C). Shape the cookies and place them on a lined baking sheet.
- Bake and add chocolate kisses: Bake for 10-12 minutes. Press a chocolate kiss into the center of each cookie after removing from the oven.
- Cool and enjoy: Let the cookies cool before transferring to a wire rack.
