Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon almond extract
- 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 cup pastel candies or chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
- Add the eggs one at a time, then mix in the vanilla and almond extracts.
- Mix the flour, baking powder, and baking soda in a separate bowl, then gradually incorporate into the wet ingredients until just combined.
- Incorporate the pastel candies or chocolate chips, folding gently.
- Scoop tablespoons of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, spacing them apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden and tops are set.
- Cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
Notes
For uniform cookies, use a cookie scoop. Experiment with baking times for desired texture.
