- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon mint extract
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 3/4 cup cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 1/2 cups crushed Oreos
- Green food coloring (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Mix together softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well, then stir in vanilla and mint extracts.
- Combine flour, cocoa powder, and baking soda in a separate bowl.
- Gradually add dry mixture to wet mixture until fully incorporated.
- Fold in crushed Oreos and a few drops of green food coloring.
- Scoop rounded balls of dough onto a lined baking sheet.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are set but centers are soft.
- Cool on sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
- Enjoy with a drizzle of icing or plain with a glass of milk.
Notes
For a dairy-free version, substitute coconut oil for butter. For added texture, use whole wheat flour.
