Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon mint extract
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 1/2 cups crushed Oreos
  • Green food coloring (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix together softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until fluffy.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well, then stir in vanilla and mint extracts.
  4. Combine flour, cocoa powder, and baking soda in a separate bowl.
  5. Gradually add dry mixture to wet mixture until fully incorporated.
  6. Fold in crushed Oreos and a few drops of green food coloring.
  7. Scoop rounded balls of dough onto a lined baking sheet.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are set but centers are soft.
  9. Cool on sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
  10. Enjoy with a drizzle of icing or plain with a glass of milk.

Notes

For a dairy-free version, substitute coconut oil for butter. For added texture, use whole wheat flour.
