Ingredients

  • 1 lb Ground Beef
  • 32 oz Tater Tots
  • 10.5 oz Cream of Mushroom Soup
  • 1 cup Sautéed Mushrooms
  • 1 Onion, diced
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 cup Shredded Cheese (Cheddar or blend)
  • Salt and Pepper to taste
  • Optional: Thyme, Oregano, Paprika

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Sauté diced onions and minced garlic in a skillet over medium heat until translucent.
  3. Add in ground beef and cook until browned, seasoning while cooking.
  4. Fold in sautéed mushrooms and cream of mushroom soup until well combined and heated through.
  5. Assemble in a greased baking dish: layer meat mixture, sprinkle cheese, then top with tater tots.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes, until tater tots are crispy and golden brown.

Notes

For best results, sauté the onions and garlic well, and cover the casserole for the first 20 minutes of baking.
