- 2 cooked Sweet Potatoes
- 1 cup Whole Wheat Flour (or almond/oat flour for gluten-free)
- 1 Egg (or flaxseed meal with water as a substitute)
- 1/4 cup unsweetened Peanut Butter
- 1/2 tsp Cinnamon
- 1 tsp Baking Powder
- Water or Dog-Friendly Broth (as needed)
Instructions
- Preheat your waffle iron according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
- Cook the sweet potatoes until soft, about 30–45 minutes.
- Mash the sweet potatoes in a large mixing bowl until smooth.
- Add in one egg, peanut butter, and cinnamon. Mix until combined.
- Gradually add the flour, stirring until a thick batter forms. Add liquid if needed.
- Pour batter onto the preheated waffle iron and cook until golden brown, about 5–7 minutes.
- Remove waffles and allow them to cool before serving.
Notes
Ensure to use unsweetened peanut butter and avoid ingredients harmful to dogs. Let waffles cool to avoid burns.
