Ingredients
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 cup pimentos, diced
- 1 lb cooked sausage (spicy or mild)
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley or green onions, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Hot sauce or Worcestershire sauce, optional
Instructions
- Prepare the sausage by cooking it in a skillet over medium heat until browned and cooked through. Drain the grease and set aside.
- Mix the softened cream cheese with shredded sharp cheddar cheese in a large mixing bowl until smooth and creamy.
- Add the diced pimentos, minced garlic, and cooked sausage, mixing until well combined.
- Season to taste with salt, pepper, and optional hot sauce or Worcestershire sauce.
- Chill in the fridge for half an hour or serve warm directly from the stove.
- Serve in a bowl, garnished with fresh herbs and accompanied by crackers or vegetables.
Notes
For lighter options, substitute cream cheese with Greek yogurt and try different cheeses.
