- 4 oz Quality semisweet or dark chocolate
- 1/4 cup Unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup Granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup Brown sugar
- 2 Large eggs
- 1/2 cup All-purpose flour
- 1 tsp Vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp Salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Prepare an 8×4 inch baking pan by lining it with parchment paper or greasing it with butter.
- Melt the chocolate and butter together over low heat until smooth, then cool slightly.
- Mix in the granulated and brown sugars until combined.
- Add the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- Incorporate the flour and salt, folding gently until just combined.
- Add optional mix-ins like chocolate chips or nuts, if desired.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, until set but slightly underbaked in the center.
- Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before serving.
