Ingredients

  • 1 package of cheese-filled ravioli
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup sautéed mushrooms or other vegetables (optional)
  • Fresh basil, oregano, garlic, and red pepper flakes to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the ravioli according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  3. Prepare the sauce in a skillet over medium heat.
  4. Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of a baking dish.
  5. Arrange a single layer of ravioli over the sauce, not overlapping.
  6. Add ricotta cheese, followed by shredded mozzarella on top of the ravioli.
  7. Continue layering sauce, ravioli, ricotta, and mozzarella until ingredients are used, finishing with sauce and mozzarella.
  8. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes or until bubbly and golden brown.
  9. Cool for 10 minutes before slicing. Serve hot with fresh herbs on top.
