Ingredients
- 1 package of cheese-filled ravioli
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup sautéed mushrooms or other vegetables (optional)
- Fresh basil, oregano, garlic, and red pepper flakes to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the ravioli according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- Prepare the sauce in a skillet over medium heat.
- Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of a baking dish.
- Arrange a single layer of ravioli over the sauce, not overlapping.
- Add ricotta cheese, followed by shredded mozzarella on top of the ravioli.
- Continue layering sauce, ravioli, ricotta, and mozzarella until ingredients are used, finishing with sauce and mozzarella.
- Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes or until bubbly and golden brown.
- Cool for 10 minutes before slicing. Serve hot with fresh herbs on top.
