Ingredients
- 1 sheet puff pastry (fresh or frozen)
- Nutella (to taste)
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
- Raspberry preserves (to taste)
- Sea salt (a pinch)
- Powdered sugar (optional, for serving)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll out your puff pastry and cut into heart shapes, about 4 inches wide.
- Set half of your hearts on the prepared baking sheet. Spoon Nutella in the center of each heart.
- Add a dollop of raspberry preserves on top of the Nutella.
- Brush the edges of each pastry heart with egg wash.
- Place remaining heart cutouts on top and press edges to seal.
- Brush the tops with egg wash and sprinkle sea salt.
- Bake for about 15-20 minutes until golden and puffed up.
- Cool slightly and sprinkle with powdered sugar if desired.
Notes
For a nut-free version, use a chocolate spread without hazelnuts. You can substitute raspberry preserves with your favorite jam.
