  • Total Time: 35 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry (fresh or frozen)
  • Nutella (to taste)
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • Raspberry preserves (to taste)
  • Sea salt (a pinch)
  • Powdered sugar (optional, for serving)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out your puff pastry and cut into heart shapes, about 4 inches wide.
  3. Set half of your hearts on the prepared baking sheet. Spoon Nutella in the center of each heart.
  4. Add a dollop of raspberry preserves on top of the Nutella.
  5. Brush the edges of each pastry heart with egg wash.
  6. Place remaining heart cutouts on top and press edges to seal.
  7. Brush the tops with egg wash and sprinkle sea salt.
  8. Bake for about 15-20 minutes until golden and puffed up.
  9. Cool slightly and sprinkle with powdered sugar if desired.

Notes

For a nut-free version, use a chocolate spread without hazelnuts. You can substitute raspberry preserves with your favorite jam.
