Ingredients
- Fresh white fish (tilapia or cod)
- Feta cheese
- Panko breadcrumbs
- Garlic powder
- Paprika
- Freshly cracked black pepper
- Corn or flour tortillas
- Shredded cabbage (green or purple)
- Creamy lime sauce (sour cream, lime juice, hot sauce)
Instructions
- Prepare the fish: Pat the fish fillets dry and season them with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Create the crispy crust: Mix crumbled feta and panko breadcrumbs in a shallow dish.
- Coat the fish: Dredge each seasoned fillet in the feta-panko mixture, pressing gently to adhere.
- Sauté the fish: In a skillet over medium heat, add a tablespoon of oil. Once hot, carefully place the fillets in the pan. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side until the crust is golden and crispy.
- Assemble the tacos: Warm the tortillas in a dry skillet. Add crispy fish, a generous scoop of cabbage, and drizzle the lime sauce on top.
Notes
For extra flavor, top with fresh cilantro or avocado slices. Avoid overcrowding the skillet when cooking.
