Delicious fish tacos with a crispy feta crust, paired with refreshing cabbage slaw and zesty sauce.

  • Total Time: 35 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

  • Fresh white fish (tilapia or cod)
  • Feta cheese
  • Panko breadcrumbs
  • Garlic powder
  • Paprika
  • Freshly cracked black pepper
  • Corn or flour tortillas
  • Shredded cabbage (green or purple)
  • Creamy lime sauce (sour cream, lime juice, hot sauce)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the fish: Pat the fish fillets dry and season them with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  2. Create the crispy crust: Mix crumbled feta and panko breadcrumbs in a shallow dish.
  3. Coat the fish: Dredge each seasoned fillet in the feta-panko mixture, pressing gently to adhere.
  4. Sauté the fish: In a skillet over medium heat, add a tablespoon of oil. Once hot, carefully place the fillets in the pan. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side until the crust is golden and crispy.
  5. Assemble the tacos: Warm the tortillas in a dry skillet. Add crispy fish, a generous scoop of cabbage, and drizzle the lime sauce on top.

Notes

For extra flavor, top with fresh cilantro or avocado slices. Avoid overcrowding the skillet when cooking.
