Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup cold unsalted butter, cubed
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 6–8 tablespoons ice-cold water
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 cups milk or cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 2 cups fresh cranberries

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Combine flour, butter, salt, and sugar until crumbly.
  3. Add ice-cold water gradually until dough forms.
  4. Chill the dough in plastic wrap for 30 minutes.
  5. Whisk eggs in a bowl, then add sugar and mix until fluffy.
  6. Stir in milk, vanilla, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  7. Fold in cranberries gently.
  8. Roll out the dough and fit into a 9-inch pie pan.
  9. Pour the custard filling into the crust.
  10. Bake for 40–45 minutes until set.
  11. Cool to room temperature and serve.
