Ingredients
- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- ½ cup cold unsalted butter, cubed
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- 1 pinch salt
- 6–8 tablespoons ice-cold water
- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 cups milk or cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 2 cups fresh cranberries
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Combine flour, butter, salt, and sugar until crumbly.
- Add ice-cold water gradually until dough forms.
- Chill the dough in plastic wrap for 30 minutes.
- Whisk eggs in a bowl, then add sugar and mix until fluffy.
- Stir in milk, vanilla, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- Fold in cranberries gently.
- Roll out the dough and fit into a 9-inch pie pan.
- Pour the custard filling into the crust.
- Bake for 40–45 minutes until set.
- Cool to room temperature and serve.
Notes
Serve with whipped cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream for added flavor.
