Ingredients

  • 2 cups whole wheat flour (or oat/almond flour for gluten-free)
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup natural peanut butter (unsweetened)
  • 1 cup pure pumpkin puree (not pie filling)
  • 1 egg (or flaxseed meal with water for vegan)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine 2 cups of whole wheat flour, 1/2 cup of rolled oats, and 1 teaspoon of cinnamon in a mixing bowl.
  3. Add in 1/2 cup of natural peanut butter and 1 cup of pure pumpkin puree. Then crack in 1 egg and mix until the dough holds together.
  4. Roll out the dough on a floured surface to about 1/4 inch thick and use cookie cutters to create shapes.
  5. Place cutouts on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until golden and firm.
  7. Cool completely on a wire rack before serving.
  8. Store in an airtight container for up to a week or refrigerate for longer freshness.

Notes

Make sure not to use sugary ingredients, as they can be harmful to dogs. Allow treats to cool before storing.
