- 2 fresh trout fillets
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 fresh lemon, zested and juiced
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Prepare the Trout: Rinse the trout fillets gently under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels.
- Season: Sprinkle the trout fillets with salt and pepper on both sides.
- Melt the Butter: In a large skillet over medium heat, melt about 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter until bubbly.
- Add Garlic: Toss in minced garlic and sauté until just fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Sear the Trout: Add the trout fillets skin-side down into the butter. Sear for about 3-4 minutes until golden brown. Flip gently, adding another tablespoon of butter.
- Finish with Lemon and Parsley: Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the trout and garnish with chopped parsley.
- Serve: Plate the trout and drizzle with garlic butter sauce.
