Ingredients
- 1 lb ground meat (beef and pork mix or alternative)
- 1 cup fresh breadcrumbs
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/2 cup finely chopped fresh herbs (parsley, thyme, rosemary)
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 onion, diced
- 1 cup cranberry sauce
- Salt, to taste
- Pepper, to taste
- Red pepper flakes, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Mix together your ground meat, breadcrumbs, finely chopped fresh herbs, minced garlic, diced onion, and beat the egg. Season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes.
- Form the mixture into small meatballs, about the size of a golf ball.
- Arrange the meatballs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
- Prepare the cranberry glaze by heating cranberry sauce, a splash of vinegar, and herbs in a saucepan.
- Drizzle the cranberry glaze over the meatballs once they are done baking.
- Return to the oven for 5 more minutes.
- Serve hot, garnished with fresh herbs.
Notes
Feel free to substitute ground meat with meat alternatives for a vegetarian version. Adjust the herbs according to your taste.
