Ingredients

  • 1 Butterball turkey breast
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 tablespoons fresh rosemary, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons fresh thyme, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 onion, quartered
  • 1 lemon, quartered

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C).
  2. Pat the turkey dry with paper towels.
  3. Season generously with salt, pepper, and herbs.
  4. Rub butter all over the turkey, including under the skin.
  5. Insert aromatics such as onion and lemon into the cavity.
  6. Roast for 1.5 to 2 hours until a meat thermometer registers 165°F (74°C).
  7. Baste the turkey with its own juices every 30 minutes.
  8. Let it rest for at least 15 minutes before carving.

Notes

For a dairy-free option, substitute olive oil for butter. Allow the turkey to rest properly to retain juices.
