Ingredients
- 1 Butterball turkey breast
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 tablespoons fresh rosemary, chopped
- 2 tablespoons fresh thyme, chopped
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 onion, quartered
- 1 lemon, quartered
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C).
- Pat the turkey dry with paper towels.
- Season generously with salt, pepper, and herbs.
- Rub butter all over the turkey, including under the skin.
- Insert aromatics such as onion and lemon into the cavity.
- Roast for 1.5 to 2 hours until a meat thermometer registers 165°F (74°C).
- Baste the turkey with its own juices every 30 minutes.
- Let it rest for at least 15 minutes before carving.
Notes
For a dairy-free option, substitute olive oil for butter. Allow the turkey to rest properly to retain juices.
