Ingredients
- 1 lb flank or sirloin steak
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 1 tsp dried Italian herbs
- 1 tsp paprika
- Salt, to taste
- Black pepper, to taste
- Neutral oil (canola or vegetable) for frying
Instructions
- Trim excess fat from the steak and cut it into strips about one inch wide.
- In a bowl, mix olive oil, minced garlic, and herbs and spices. Marinate steak strips for at least 30 minutes.
- Set up a breading station: one plate with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with breadcrumbs. Dredge the steak strips in flour, dip in eggs, and coat with breadcrumbs.
- Heat about an inch of oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Fry the steak fingers for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.
- Drain on paper towels and serve warm with your favorite dipping sauces.
Notes
For extra crunch, use panko breadcrumbs. Consider using chicken tenders for a different twist.
