Ingredients
- 2 cups fresh corn (or frozen kernels)
- 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup cream
- 3 large eggs
- 1/4 cup fresh herbs (chives, parsley, or dill)
- 2 tablespoons butter (or olive oil)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- If using fresh corn, cut the kernels from the cob. If using frozen, allow it to thaw and drain any excess moisture.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the corn, cheddar cheese, and any herbs you choose.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, cream, eggs, salt, and pepper.
- Combine both mixtures and pour it into a greased baking dish, spreading evenly.
- Bake for 45-55 minutes until golden brown; check for doneness with a toothpick.
- Let it cool before serving.
- Tip: Add extra cheese and herbs on top 10 minutes before baking is done for a special touch.
